ORIGINS Peeper Pleaser Powder Eyeshadow ~ 07 Twinkle

This is my first product from the Origins makeup range. I'm sure we've all heard of the brand and their skincare range but I think some of us haven't ventured to try out their makeup offerings. 07 Twinkle (*) is part of their NEW Peeper Pleaser Powder Eyeshadow range. I would describe it as a light sandy shade with a hint of gold shimmer to it. It looks really good when it hits the light.

Origins describe the eyeshadow formula as "crease-free" and "mineral-rich". I agree with that. I wore the eyeshadow throughout the day and it didn't crease. To be honest I never really touch up on eyeshadows during the day unless they look really bad. The pigmentation is good once you get it out. You do need to sweep the eyeshadow a few times though in order to get enough product out. I also found that when you applied the eyeshadow, there wasn't much fallout. I find that it is a mix between a mineral eyeshadow and pressed powder in that respect.

Unfortunately you can't really see the subtle gold shimmer..but it's there..I promise!
All in all, I think it is a good eyeshadow which is also great as a highlighter. My bugaboo though was that it didn't come with an applicator which is great for when you're on the go! This eyeshadow retails at £14 for 2.2g. Which I guess is reasonable as you are paying for a product of quality that will last as you do not need to use that much. There are 10 eyeshadows in the range that available in the UK. However, in the U.S. there are 18. You can have a peek through the range here.

Have you tried any eyeshadows from Origins? Which are are you favourite?

Thanks for reading!

  1. I've never seen the make up range by Origins here, just the skin care. I must go back and see if they have the make up in that department store now! I love Origins.
