Party Nails: Lilac Sorbet ~ Accessorize 4D

So Christmas celebrations are just around the corner so I thought I would brighten up my nails especially as the weather in the UK has been so gloomy. This is my first ever purchase from the Accessorize beauty range. I really liked the colour so had to get it. Lilac Sorbet is part of the Accessorize 4D range. The name is quite deceiving as I think it's a baby pink nail polish rather than lilac. The nail polishes come with 4D beads which are chosen to compliment the polish. This isn't a new invention as a lot of brands are offering the 4D polishes at the moment. I was just drawn to this colour.

The application process was really easy. I simply applied the nail polish as you would do normally, but after the second coat, whilst it's still wet, I poured over the 4D beads until the nail is covered. Et voila...that's it! I found that part really messy, the beads went everywhere. To avoid all the excess dropout, I held my finger over a little container, that way I didn't lose much (Why didn't I think of that the first time round??!!).

OK, so as much as I like this nail combo, I must say, the beads don't last at all. Once I let the beads dry, I'm not joking when I say that within the hour, they started dropping off when I was going about my business. When I put my hands through my hair, more fell out. Really annoying. I was so worried to rub my eyes in case some fell into it (awkward!). I guess it would work better with a nail glue or something similar. So that's definitely something to be aware of.

This nail set retails at £5 which I think is a good offer. However, like I said, the beads do drop out easily. That is the downside for me. You can pick this up from the Accessorize store online (click here) or from your local Superdrug or Boots.
